Friends of Cancun:
Just a quick update on Hurricane Ernesto to reassure you that everything is ok in Cancun and the Riviera Maya. Hurricane Ernesto brought nothing more than heavy rain and some bursts of wind, not even near close to the magnitude of much larger and deadlier storms that have made landfall in Cancun and the Riviera Maya.
Hurricane Ernesto has now left the Cancun and Riviera Maya area and is moving across the Bay of Campeche.
From Weather Channel:
“Ernesto will continue to move west over the Bay of Campeche before making a second landfall in Mexico on Thursday.
While some additional strengthening is possible as Ernesto moves across the Bay of Campeche, the rather limited time window over water will limit any major intensification. There is a chance Ernesto could reach hurricane status before its final landfall on Thursday. Hurricane warnings have been issued from Veracruz to Chilitepec.”

We will continue to monitor storm activity in the area and will keep you updated if there is a Hurricane Warning in effect for Cancun and the Riviera Maya.
Until then, stay safe and warm regards from Cancun! 🙂

Looks like the storm clouds of Huricane Ernesto cleared Cancun yesterday. Here's hoping Danny Leffring and Jessica De Young (Leffring now!) – see some sunshine today.
